Refund & Ticketing Policy
Arab Socials aims to keep ticketing fair for attendees and organizers. Refund rules below apply to paid tickets purchased in the Arab Socials mobile app through Stripe, unless different terms are clearly stated on a specific event.
How to request a refund:
Refund requests for in-app ticket purchases are not completed automatically in the app. Contact support (for example via the app’s Settings / support flow, or the contact email at the bottom of this page). Refunds are reviewed and approved at Arab Socials’ discretion, consistent with our Terms.
Eligibility (general):
We may consider factors such as timing, event status, and whether the event was cancelled or materially changed. Unless required by law, late requests or no-shows may not qualify. Custom refund terms shown on an event page apply to that event when they are stricter or different from this page.
If your refund is approved:
Approved refunds are processed through Stripe back to the original payment method. That is typically the full amount paid for the refunded ticket(s); bank and card issuer timing applies. We do not store your full card number or security code.
Event Pricing & Platform
Paid events charge a ticket price set by the organizer. Arab Socials may retain a platform commission on paid ticket sales, calculated as a percentage of the ticket total. The total amount you pay is shown before you complete checkout.
Cancelled or materially changed events: If an event is cancelled by the organizer or the platform, we intend to refund affected ticket purchases in line with that notice and processor capabilities.
Paid Event Tickets (In-App)
When you buy a paid ticket in the Arab Socials app, payment is processed by Stripe. Card details are entered directly in Stripe’s checkout flow.
We may receive limited information such as:
- Payment status
- Transaction amount and reference
- Card brand and last four digits
In-app ticket purchases go through Stripe; the app does not process alternative payment methods for those ticket checkouts.
Organizer Payouts: Organizers may connect a Stripe Express account to receive payouts. Stripe’s terms and privacy policy apply: https://stripe.com/privacy
Other Payments
Some organizers or community channels may mention Venmo, Zelle, cash, or other methods for separate arrangements.
Note: These are not processed through Arab Socials’ in-app Stripe checkout and may not be covered by this policy—follow any instructions and terms provided for that specific arrangement.
Privacy & About Us
Privacy: We collect information needed to run accounts, events, and ticketing. We do not sell personal information. We use service providers such as Stripe to process payments. You may opt out of non-essential emails where unsubscribe is offered.
About Arab Socials: Arab Socials is a U.S. LLC. We may operate community channels (for example WhatsApp); information shared there is subject to those services’ policies as well as how we use it for communication and event updates.
